PregoApp—possibly the easiest way to make a single page website
We often have clients who want to have a "coming soon" or "under construction" page put up while we build their website.
It's a good idea to do this, particularly if they are printing business cards and stationery, as it means visitors will at least see their logo and contact details. It also starts the ball rolling with search engine listings etc.
The problem to date, however, is that it's quite time consuming to make even a one page website: you have to code up the HTML and CSS, setup a server, upload the files, test, tweak, etc. It usually takes an hour or so just to whip something quick up if you want it to look half decent.
So, we created PregoApp. It enables anyone to create a single page website in just a couple of minutes from start to finish. No coding. No hosting. No FTP servers! All you have to do is write up some body copy, setup the logo image, point the DNS for your domain and you're done!
You can also input your own Google Analytics tracking code, use TypeKit and embed dynamic content via javascript such as Twitter/Facebook feed, Flickr image gallery, Wufoo form, Google Map etc.
It's really very simple.
We have two really basic themes to start out with but will release some more as we get around to it. We may also run a little design competition for people to make their own themese (all CSS so it's really easy but there is room for creativity).
